Candidate Requirements
The requirements for being a CANDIDATE in Beta Alpha Psi are as follows:
Declare a major in accounting, finance, or information systems at UF
Meet attendance requirements below (per semester):
General Business Meetings: 50% of meetings (rounded down to nearest whole meeting) +1 meeting
Philanthropy: 6 hours per semester; for 4 hours of the total 6 hours, tutoring is required, unless excused by the Executive Board
Socials: 25% of meetings (rounded down to nearest whole meeting) +1 meeting
Pay candidate dues of $75
Membership Requirements
The requirements for being initiated as a MEMBER in Beta Alpha Psi are as follows:
Be an active candidate for at least one semester
Satisfy the candidate attendance requirements above
Complete at least two 3000-level major courses at UF (for undergrads) or at least one 5000-level or higher major course at UF (for grads)
Earn a cumulative 3.0 major GPA in all 3000-level and above major courses taken at UF
Earn a cumulative 3.0 UF GPA
Pay initiation dues of $60
Once initiated as a member, members must continue to meet the attendance requirements (until they graduate) to remain in good standing. Failure to meet the mandatory attendance requirements or any conduct which demonstrates that the member is not of good moral character will result in expulsion of the member. Once an initiated member graduates, they will then be granted Alumni status.
